Paul Prevot, OSTEOPATH, BSc (Hons)
As an Osteopath, Paul Prevot is interested in finding the root cause of physical problems; to enable the fast relief of symptoms and assist the body’s own capability in preventing them from returning.
He uses a ‘holistic-convergence’ approach, looking at the way each part of the body inter-relates, to achieve a thorough and complete diagnosis and treatment. Depending on each individual’s needs, Paul’s practice encompasses a range of professional techniques within structural (musculo-skeletal), visceral (digestive organ) and cranial osteopathy. He will also advise clients on how to improve their posture at work or whilst sleeping, on helpful exercise and on diet.
Paul graduated in 2005 with a Bachelors degree from the European School of Osteopathy within the United Kingdom and has since been practising in Edinburgh, Scotland under registration with the General Osteopathic Council.
Previous to this, he undertook three years Physical Education teacher training at sports university in France and worked extensively with martial art fighters and athletes to improve their physical performance and help their recovery from frequent injury. He has also been a consultant for the health section of MTB (Mountain Bike Magazine). As well as an awareness of the particular needs in these specialised fields, Paul has worked with a large client base, from infants and children to pregnant women and the elderly.
Paul’s experience has convinced him that key to providing the best care for his patients is an integrated approach, working collaboratively with other professionals such as Bowen therapists, Massage therapists, Physiotherapists, GPs, Fitness Instructors, Pilates and Yoga teachers. At the heart of his work are the individual clients and he appreciates that each is unique with different needs for recovery and wellbeing.
